Class IX students witnessed an Awareness Programme conducted by Traffic Dept, Govt of AP. Personnel from RTO gave a presentation imparting valuable safety rules & regulations to be followed for preventing road accidents.
Mrs Sushree & Mr N V S V N Murthy attended a workshop on 'The role of a teacher as a counsellor' at HRD Centre, DPS Society , New Delhi.
Arunodaya Special School organised a Dance Training programme with Mr Naresh Kathak, independent choreographer, Mumbai, as the Trainer. Gayatri Devdas-VII D & Mritika Kundu- VII C along with our dance Teacher, Mrs Aditi Sen attended this programme.
Students of Classes VII & VIII were given yoga demonstration by the Yoga instructor of Datta Kriya Yoga. They were appraised of the health benefits of Pranayama, Yogasanas & Surya Namskar. Students had a brief session of Pranayamas practiced with specific mudras and were taught a group of Asanas that enhance the flexibility of the body and strengthen the mind.
Class VII students were taken on a picnic to Bojjanakonda , a historical site of two Buddhist rock- cut caves on hillocks located 20 kilometers away from Steel Township.
Classes IX & X students visited an Exhibition on the Functioning of the Steel plant organized by VSP.

Class VIII students attended an Awareness program on Road Safety for school children organized by RINL, VSP at Multi-Purpose Hall of Ukku Club.
Our school was the centre for Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Teacher recruitment Exam conducted by CBSE
Class IX students went on a picnic to The Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in the city.
Class X students were taken on a tour to Hyderabad where they visited prominent historical sites and Ramoji Film City
Students of Classes III & IV were taken on a picnic to the Nehru Park in the Steel Township.
Mrs P Rajani & Mrs Sagarika participated in a Workshop conducted by Orient Blackswan in Hotel Daspallla. Dr Samson Thomas ELT Expert and author of English Junction series of textbooks was the resource person.
Mrs Shobha Gopakumar, Mrs Maruthi Devi & Mrs Debjani Paul attended the Pre Primary Workshop conducted by M/s Oxford University Press.
We commenced Remedial Classes for the low achievers of all classes. These are being taken after school from 2:10pm to 3:10pm.
Mrs Asha Pandey, Mrs Radha Rani & Mr Naveen Kumar Karn attended a workshop conducted by M/s Madhuban Educational Books at palm beach Hotel, Beach Road, Visakhapatnam. The topic was "Innovative Methodologies of teaching Hindi".
Mrs Kavita Pandey, Mrs G Sandhya Rani, Mrs M Soumya & Mrs Ch Praveena attended a Group Workshop on "Pre-Primary Classes" conducted by M/S Macmillan Education & M/S Frank Bros. & Co. at Quality Inn Bez Krishna, Visakhapatnam.
Mrs A Sreedevi & Mrs G S Rajyalakshmi participated in a workshop on "Pronunciation and Speaking Skills with Listening Skills Highlights" conducted by Collins India on 16 November,2016 at The Park Hotel, Visakhaptnam. Dr Elaine Higgleton, International publisher, was the resource person.
Around 100 students of class X were taken to Dr Y S Rajasekhar ACA VDCA Stadium in the city to watch the Cricket Test match between India and England.
20 students of class VII went on 'A Day At Sea', a day long cruise organized by the Indian Navy as part of their Annual Navy Week celebrations. The students boarded an Eastern Fleet ship and witnessed mid-sea Naval Fleet Show. Students were also engaged in interesting talk on Naval Life, Quiz etc.
